Council Aims To Help People Fulfill Their Ambitions
Belfast City Council is currently recruiting for a number of fully-funded programmes aimed at helping such people fulfill their ambitions in 2017.
The Hospitality Employment Academy (HEA), in partnership with Belfast Works LEMIS+ Project, People 1st and Belfast Met, is specifically aimed at people looking for work in the growing hospitality sector. It is aimed at both jobseekers and those looking to return to work, and has been specifically designed to assist lone parents, carers and those with limiting health conditions.
The HEA, which is also aimed at businesses looking for trained talent in entry-level roles, offers personal mentoring to help participants develop the skills required by the sector, and to develop interview skills, including the opportunity for a real job interview.
For those looking for the challenge of running their own business, the Council offers two programmes which can help: 'Business Start' and 'Go For It'. Both offer all the advice and mentoring needed for starting out on the path to being your own boss.
