'Funds Identified' To Continue Irish Bursary Scheme
Communities Minister Paul Givan has said he has identified funds to continue the Líofa Irish Bursary Scheme.
He confirmed his decision to cut the £50,000 grant was not a "political decision".
Alliance Leader Naomi Long tweeted: "Relieved Líofa scheme will continue. Reasons for cancelling in first place need explained - petty swipes that have taken Assembly to brink."
SDLP MLA Claire Hanna tweeted: "Not sure if pins fit very neatly back in grenades, but good to see this reinstated. Spent my teenage summers in Gaeltacht, more the merrier!"
Sinn Féin MLA Barry McElduff said: "The decision to cut the Líofa bursary of £50k for disadvantaged children was disgraceful.
"While this reversal is welcome, it is a decision that should never have been taken.
"The DUP has demonstrated contempt for the Irish Language and that must change.
"The rights of the Irish Language speakers need to be recognised and respected."

DAERA Minister Confirms Commitment to Deposit Return Scheme
DAERA Minister Andrew Muir has reaffirmed his commitment to introducing a Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) in Northern Ireland. The DRS is designed to encourage recycling by offering a monetary incentive for returning single-use drinks containers. The scheme will cover PET plastic, steel, and aluminium containers ranging from 150ml to 3 litres.

Alliance 'Deeply Concerned' Over Pace Of HIA Redress Scheme
The Alliance Party has raised concerns over the rate of progress on the redress scheme for Historical Institutional Abuse of children. The party's Executive Office spokesperson, Paula Bradshaw MLA, has called on the First and deputy First Minister (FMdFM) must meet victims and survivors urgently over memorialisation and other issues.
