Three Arrested After £50,000 Worth Of Cannabis Seized In Co Down
Three people have been arrested after cannabis plants, worth an estimated £50,000, were seized in Co Down.
Detectives from the PSNI's Reactive Organised Crime Branch made the seizure after searching premises in the Comber area on Thursday, 26 January.
Two men, aged 26 and 49, and a 39-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis, possession of a class B controlled drug and possessing a class B controlled drug with intent to supply.
They have been detained in police custody.
PSNI Detective Inspector David Henderson said: "This was a sophisticated cannabis farm and we are delighted to have closed it down and removed cannabis plants with an estimated value of £50,000 from circulation.
"This is another example of the PSNI's commitment to tackling the issue of drugs in our society and we are determined to continue to combat illegal drug supply and use."
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

A 22-year-old man has been charged after £16,000 worth of cannabis plants were seized in L'Derry. The discovery was made after police searched a house in the Waterside area on Friday, 22 September. The suspect has been accused of growing cannabis, possession of a Class B drug and intent to supply.
