Eamonn Holmes Named Patron Of NI Cancer Charity
TV presenter Eamonn Holmes has been made a patron the Friends of the Cancer Centre.
The Northern Irish man will be helping to raise support and awareness of the charity, which supports cancer patients and their families.
Mr Holmes said he was "delighted" and "very proud" to have been made a patron.
He said: "Friends of the Cancer Centre is an amazing charity which supports thousands of people affected by cancer across Northern Ireland. We all know someone who is, or has been, touched by cancer and it’s a great comfort to know that Friends of the Cancer Centre is there when people need it most. The extent of the charity's work is incredible and most importantly, everything Friends of the Cancer Centre does makes a real and meaningful difference to so many lives.
"To be able to support this wonderful work is a real privilege and I’d encourage everyone to join me in their support of this fantastic and worthy cause."

14 Cancer Charities Receive Grant Funding Totalling £7.95m
Fourteen cancer charities have received grant funding totalling £7.95 million, Health Minister Robin Swann has announced. The payments have been made through the Cancer Charities Support Fund, part of a £24m package of funding made available in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to support carers, cancer charities and mental health organisations.
