Man Injured During Aggravated Burglary In Belfast

A man has sustained injuries during an aggravated burglary in Belfast.

Three armed masked men entered a house in the Melrose Street area at around 12.30am on Wednesday, 22 February.

One man, armed with a hammer, and another man carrying a screwdriver confronted the victim before demanding money and ransacking several rooms in the property.

He sustained injuries to his face and back, however they are not believed to be life threatening.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

A County Antrim man found dead in a hotel room in Ibiza sustained head injuries, according to Ireland's expert State Pathologist. Alan Drennan, 21, was found dead just 24 hours after arriving in Ibiza. Man Attacked By Masked Men In Co Antrim
A man has been injured after being attacked by masked men in Co Antrim. Three individuals, who were armed with bats, assaulted the man in an alleyway in Greenland in Carrickfergus on Tuesday, 31 May. The victim sustained injuries to his arm and side. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Dies In Co Antrim Collision
A 62-year-old man has died after his car crashed into a lorry in County Antrim. The collision occurred on the Lisnevenagh Road at around 8pm on Tuesday. A man and a woman who were travelling in the lorry also sustained injuries, however they are not believed to be life-threatening. The road is currently closed and diversions have been put in place.

Man Attacked In West Belfast
A man has been attacked in west Belfast. The 27-year-old victim was walking on the Springfield Road when he was assaulted between 12.30am and 1.30am on Sunday, 05 February. Police said he was beaten to the ground by a gang of youths, who also stole his phone and wallet.

Man Released Over Attempted Murder
A 25-year-old man who was arrested on Monday afternoon on suspicion of attempted murder has been released. The man has been freed on bail pending further police enquiries. The man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident on the Limestone Road in north Belfast on Friday night.
