Fire Crews Tackle Blaze At Linen Mill In Co L'Derry
Fire crews have tackled a blaze at a textile plant just outside Maghera in Co L'Derry.
It is understood the fire occurred at William Clarke and Sons linen mill at around 1.40pm on Sunday, 26 February.
The firm describes itself as home to "Ireland's oldest linen fabric mill".
Six appliances were used to put out the fire, according to a spokesperson from the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS).
A total of 35 people work at the plant, however they were not in the building at the time.
An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE

The Home Fire Safety Check coincides with Fire Safety Week, which runs from September 30th to October 6th. The initiative aims to reduce the number of house fires in Northern Ireland.
