Investigation Launched After Lorry Stolen In Co Armagh

Police have launched an investigation after a lorry was stolen from a yard in Co Armagh.

It is believed the vehicle, which was parked in a yard in the Monaghan Road area of Middleton, was taken sometime between 3pm and 6pm on Sunday, 26 February.

The keys of the lorry were taken from a parked car in the yard.

The vehicle was a blue Scania cab with a silver curtain side trailer and contained a large amount of confectionery goods.

Inspector Lynsey Barr is appealing for anyone with information to contact police in Armagh on 101 quoting reference number 1016 26/02/17 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Man dies in County Armagh collision
One man has died following a road traffic collision in County Armagh yesterday evening. The incident happened shortly after 8pm on the Mullaghbrack Road close to the Markethill area, where it is understood that a car and a lorry collided. No one else was injured in the incident. The victim has not yet been named.
