Brokenshire Accused Of 'Waffling' Over Legacy Issues
Sinn Féin cut short a meeting with NI Secretary James Brokenshire on Tuesday, 06 March, because all he did was "waffle", it has been reported.
The party said Mr Brokenshire had still not agreed to release the funds on legacy issues so that victims and survivors can have inquests into the death of their loved ones.
Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams said: "The British waffled around this issue. Sinn Féin saw no point in proceeding any further with the meeting and told him to come back when he had a positive contribution to make.
"If this process is to have any value then it has to be about implementation of agreements. If there is to be any progress we must have a fundamental change in the approach of the British government."
