Mid Ulster Council's Tendering System To Move Online
Mid Ulster District Council's tendering system is to move online from 01 April.
The move means any procurement exercise worth over £30,000 will be managed electronically, with potential suppliers and contractors registering their details and completing all necessary documentation via a web-based portal.
Ahead of the eTendersNI system going live, the Council is holding three workshops for businesses to learn more about how the new system will operate.
The workshops will take place on:
• Monday 27 March 2017, 2pm – 4pm, Council Offices, Dungannon
• Wednesday 29 March 2017, 10am – 12noon, Council Offices, Magherafelt
• Wednesday 29 March 2017, 2pm – 4pm, Cookstown Leisure Centre
Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Trevor Wilson, said: "Moving this element of our procurement on-line system will make the process of tendering more efficient and effective for both the Council and potential suppliers.
"While many businesses will be familiar with electronic systems, others may not and these workshops are an important way for us to help ensure that companies wishing to tender for work are supported in advance of the system coming on-stream."
