Weather Warning For Snow And Ice Issued Across NI
A yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been issued across Northern Ireland.
The warning has been put in place from 8pm on Monday, 20 March, until 10am on Tuesday, 21 March.
A Met Office spokesperson said: "Showers on Monday evening, overnight and into Tuesday morning will fall increasingly as snow and hail, with accumulations mainly on hills but locally to lower levels too. Ice is also likely to form on untreated surfaces, whilst lightning may be an additional hazard. This may lead to some transport disruption and difficult driving conditions."

£17m To Support Pensioners Affected By Winter Fuel Payment Changes
Communities Minister Gordon Lyons has announced a £17 million fund to support pensioners who have lost eligibility for the Winter Fuel Payment due to recent UK government changes. The one-off £100 payment will be automatically issued to an estimated 250,000 pensioners in around 170,000 households before the end of March 2025.

A yellow weather warning for ice has been issued across Northern Ireland. The warning comes into force from 6pm on Tuesday, 27 February, until 10am on Wednesday, 28 February. Motorists are being urged to drive carefully on untreated roads and driving conditions in some places may be difficult.

An ice warning has been issued for parts of Northern Ireland after temperatures plummeted overnight. The Met Office alert came into force at 5am on Tuesday 29 January and will last until 11am. Showers from the Atlantic are expected to turn increasingly to snow, especially over high ground.
