Man Arrested Over George Gilmore Murder Released
A 23-year-old man arrested in connection with the murder of loyalist George Gilmore has been released unconditionally.
Mr Gilmore, aged 44, was shot in the neck in Carrickfergus on Monday, 13 March.
He died from his injuries in hospital the following day, 14 March.
Brian Roy McLean, 35, and Samuel David McMaw, 28, appeared at Laganside Court on Saturday, 18 March. They were jointly charged with a number of offences including murder and attempted murder and have been remanded in custody.

A man is currently in police custody following a dangerous driving pursuit and subsequent arrest on suspicion of multiple offences. The incident began in the early hours of Saturday, 16th November, when police received a report of an assault in the Listooder Park area of Saintfield.

He died from his injuries in hospital on Tuesday, 14 March. A 37-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman are assisting the police with their enquiries.

He died from his injuries in hospital the following day, 14 March. The suspect was detained in Co Antrim on Wednesday, 12 April, and is being questioned at Musgrave police station.
