Lorry driver appears in court over drugs seizure
A 39-year-old lorry driver, Patrick David McAuley has appeared in court today charged with possession and intent to supply a class B drug.
The charge relates to the seizure of 300 kilos of cannabis with an estimated street value of £1.5 million from a lorry at Belfast docks on Thursday.
Mr McAuley whose address was given as Whitepark Cottages, Ballycastle, denied the charges. He was remanded in custody.
Police arrested him when he disembarked from a ferry from Scotland on Thursday.

Lorry Overturns In Co Tyrone
A lorry has crashed and overturned in Co Tyrone. It is understood the cement lorry crashed into a graveyard at St Mark's church. Police have said the Crossowen Road, between Augher and Clogher, is closed in both directions. The driver of the vehicle has been taken to hospital for treatment. It is understood his injuries are not life-threatening.

On Friday evening, November 22nd, a vehicle was intercepted and searched in the West Bank Road area of north Belfast.

Couple Die In Omagh Crash
A couple, aged in their 70s, have died in a crash in Omagh. The collision, between a car and a lorry, happened on the Doogary Road just before 3pm on Monday, 03 September. The man and woman died at the scene of the crash. The lorry driver was not injured.
