Investigation Launched After Threat Made By Armed Man In Belfast
Police have launched an investigation following a report of a threat made by an armed man at a shop in Belfast city centre.
The incident occurred in the Fisherwick Place area at around 3.10pm on Wednesday, 05 April.
The man is believed to be aged in his 20s and was armed with a knife.
He looked in the till before fleeing the scene empty-handed.
He is described as having a reddish/brown beard and was wearing a hoodie.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Off licence robbed in south Belfast
A man armed with a handgun has robbed an off-licence in the University Road area of south Belfast. Shortly after 7pm, a man entered the premises and produced a handgun and demanded money from the till. The man made off with an undisclosed sum of money.

A man armed with a screwdriver has threatened staff at premises in south Belfast, according to the police. The suspect entered the shop on the Dublin Road at around 10.15am on Sunday, 02 May. He threatened staff and made off with a sum of cash. However, the man believed to have been involved in the incident, was detained by members of the public.

Police have said they believe missing Omagh man, Shane Sharkey, has been found in the Republic of Ireland. A police appeal for help in finding the 35-year-old has been cancelled, with police saying they now believe they know where he is.
