Alliance Hits Out DUP And Sinn Fein Over Failure To Form An Executive
The Alliance Party has hit out at the DUP and Sinn Fein over their failure to form an Executive.
Alliance Infrastructure spokesperson Kellie Armstrong MLA slammed the parties after Heathrow Airport announced up to £15 billion of contracts outside London.
Ms Armstrong said Northern Ireland could offer all of that but added she was concerned the lack of an Executive meant any opportunity could be lost.
She said: "If the DUP and Sinn Fein were not so determined to put party priorities before the public's, we would have an Executive able to take forward a bid to ensure Northern Ireland has a share of the £15 billion.
"This investment would support our construction industry at a time when it needs a substantial income boost. But the opportunity could now be lost without progress in the talks."

DUP To Elect New Leader On 26 June
The DUP are set to elect a new leader on Saturday 26 June, Party Chairman Lord Marrow has confirmed. A new leader is being sought following the resignation of Edwin Poots after just 21 days. Lord Marrow said: "The Party Officers have set the date of Saturday 26th June as the date for a meeting to elect a new leader.
