Two Men Arrested Over Burglaries In South Belfast
Police have arrested two men in connection with a spate of burglaries in south Belfast.
The PSNI responded to a report of two men trying to force entry into a house on Ireton Street just before 4am on Monday, 01 May.
A number of items were recovered and have been removed for further examination during a follow-up search.
Police believe there is a possible link between the incident and other overnight burglaries in the area.
The suspects have been detained in police custody.

Two pensioners have been severely traumatised following separate burglaries at their homes in north Belfast and Co Down. A woman in her 90's was injured after three men forced their way into her home at Chichester Road in north Belfast. The masked men ransacked a downstairs room before making off with a sum of money.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
