Cigarettes, Tobacco And Cash Seized In Raids
Cigarettes, tobacco and money have been seized following a series of searches at six commercial premises in Belfast and Newtownabbey.
HMRC officials and police from the PSNI's Reactive and Organised Crime Brand seized approximately 6,000 cigarettes, 2kg of tobacco and a "substantial" sum of money.
Detective Inspector Pete Mullan said: "Today's operation with HMRC was in relation to organised criminal activity during which we seized 6,000 cigarettes, nearly 2kg of tobacco and a substantial sum of money.
"This resulted from searches in five commercial premises in Belfast and one in Newtownabbey."

Smuggled Cigarettes Seized In Derry
Smuggled cigarettes and tobacco worth over £30,000 were seized by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) officers from a Londonderry retailer. The PSNI supported Customs officers when they seized over 115,000 cigarettes and nine kilos of hand rolling tobacco from a shop in the Waterside area of the city.

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.
