According to the latest labour market statistics, 31,500 people claimed in April, 200 less than in March.
The figures also showed a 5.3% unemployment rate for the past three months.

The number of people claiming unemployment benefits in Northern Ireland has dropped, according to the latest labour market figures. The number of claimants now stands at 32,700. The unemployment rate in NI is 5.6%, which is above the 4.8% UK average.
