Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge Closed For 'Forseeable Future'
Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge in Ballycastle has been closed for the "foreseeable future" following an overnight vandalism incident.
During a routine safety check it was identified that the bridge was damaged.
In a statement National Trust NI said: "Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge will be closed today & for the foreseeable future due to an act of vandalism overnight. We are working with structural engineers to assess the level of damage as safety of visitors & staff is of utmost importance."

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI), emergency services, and victim support groups have launched Road Safety Week 2024, highlighting the devastating impact of road traffic collisions. On average, one person loses their life on Northern Ireland's roads every week, with 57 fatalities recorded so far this year.
