Four Released On Bail After Pair Hit By Car In West Belfast

Four men arrested after a car hit two people in west Belfast have been released.

A man and a woman were struck by a black coloured BMW on the Andersonstown Road on Tuesday, 06 June.

They were taken to hospital to be treated, however their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Four men have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Four men arrested in connection with an explosive device in west Belfast last year have been released from custody. The device was found in the Pantridge Road area on 30 October. Three men arrested under the Terrorism Act have been released unconditionally.

One man has been arrested following the murder of a man in Co Down last month. Andrew Cully, a father of teenage boys from Greyabbey, was shot up to 10 times as he sat in his parked car in the loyalist West Winds estate in Newtownards on 24 March.

Six men arrested in connection with paramilitary style shootings in west Belfast have been released unconditionally. The men, aged between 29 and 50, were detained by police on Monday, 28 November, following a number of searches. They were released unconditionally on Tuesday, 30 November.

Four People Released Over Under-Car Bomb Attack In L'Derry
Four people arrested over an attempted under-car bomb attack on a police officer have been released unconditionally. The device was placed under a car in Eglinton, L'Derry, on 18 June 2015. Three men, aged 29, 38 and 46, and a 32-year-old woman were arrested in Belfast, L'Derry an Pomeroy, however they have since been released.

Two Men Arrested Over Bomb Found In West Belfast Released
Two men arrested in connection with a bomb found during a security alert in west Belfast have been released unconditionally. A viable bomb was discovered on the Brian's Well Road in Poleglass on Sunday, 15 January. Police said the device was designed to "kill or seriously" injure officers serving in the local community.
