Drop In Number Of People Claiming Unemployment Benefits
The number of people claiming unemployment benefits in Northern Ireland has dropped, new figures have revealed.
A total of 31,200 people claimed in May 2017, according to the latest labour market survey.
The rate is above the UK averages of 4.6%, however it is below the European Union rate for March 2017.

The number of people claiming unemployment-related benefits has dropped by 600, according to new statistics. The unemployment rate fell to 6.0% however it still remains higher than the UK average, which stands at 4.9%.

The number of people claiming unemployment benefits in Northern Ireland has dropped, according to the latest labour market figures. The number of claimants now stands at 32,700. The unemployment rate in NI is 5.6%, which is above the 4.8% UK average.
