Man Arrested Over Loyalist Paramilitary Activity

A man has been arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation into loyalist paramilitary activity.

The 36-year-old suspect is being held over activity in the south east Antrim area, according to the PSNI.

He has been detained in custody and is helping officers with their enquiries.

Two Men Arrested Over Loyalist Paramilitary Activity In L'Derry
Two men have been arrested in connection with violent loyalist paramilitary activity in Co L'Derry. A 21-year-old man was detained by police over offences which include a shooting at a property in the Bonds Street area in December 2016. Police also arrested a 44-year-old man in Belfast on suspicion of a number of other terrorism offences.

The Conservative spokesman on Northern Ireland Quentin Davies has held face-to-face talks with loyalist paramilitary chiefs. The meeting between Mr Davies and members of the self-named Loyalist Commission took place at a secret location in Belfast on Tuesday February 26.

A second man has been arrested in connection to the murder of a leading loyalist in Co Down last week. He was detained yesterday afternoon following the release of the first man arrested in connection to the murder of 45-year-old Jim Johnston on Thursday night.

Man Arrested In Connection With Dissident Republican Activity
The PSNI have arrested a man in connection with dissident republican activity in L'Derry. The 21-year-old is currently being questioned in custody. He was detained in the Creggan area under the Terrorism Act. The man arrested was connected to dissident activity, including a paramilitary-style assault in the city on 07 June.

Second Man Arrested Over Colin Horner Murder
A second man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Colin Horner. Mr Horner, 35, was shot in front of his young son at Sainsbury's car park in Balloo Link, Bangor, on Sunday, 28 May. A 47-year-old was arrested in Newtownards on Wednesday, 31 May. A man arrested on Tuesday, 30 May, remains in police custody.
