Man Beaten With Wooden Sticks In L'Derry

A man has been attacked and beaten with wooden sticks in L'Derry.

The assault happened in the Barrs Lane area of Ballymagroarty at around 5.30pm on Sunday, 02 July.

Three men, aged 34, 47 and 48 have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of offensive weapons in a public place.

They have all been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing for information.

Gaeltacht Students Attacked By Gang
Students at a Donegal Gaeltacht are receiving medical treatment after being assaulted by a gang wielding hurley sticks. Gardaí are today appealing for information from the public in connection with the assault, which occured on Tuesday evening.
