Man Beaten With Wooden Sticks In L'Derry
A man has been attacked and beaten with wooden sticks in L'Derry.
The assault happened in the Barrs Lane area of Ballymagroarty at around 5.30pm on Sunday, 02 July.
Three men, aged 34, 47 and 48 have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of offensive weapons in a public place.
They have all been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Police are appealing for information.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

More than 100 young people have engaged in a night of disorder in south Belfast, sparking anti-social behaviour warnings from the PSNI. Following several nights of organised violence in the Donegall Pass and Ormeau Road areas, the latest incident escalated shortly after 8.30pm on Monday 26 November.

Forestry Minister Michelle O’Neill has sought to ease the fears of hurley players and hurley stick manufacturers with new legislation to deal with the threat of ash dieback. Emergency legislation is being put in place to safeguard the import of ash wood and bark.

Students at a Donegal Gaeltacht are receiving medical treatment after being assaulted by a gang wielding hurley sticks. Gardaí are today appealing for information from the public in connection with the assault, which occured on Tuesday evening.
