Suspicious Object Found In Co Antrim Declared A Hoax
A suspicious object found in Co Antrim has been declared a hoax.
The discovery was made in the Cushendall Road area in Ballymena on Tuesday, 18 July.
Police and Army bomb disposal experts attended the scene and the object caws declared a hoax.
The area was sealed off, however it has since been reopened.
Alliance North Antrim representative Patricia O'Lynn said: "Hoax alerts such as these do nothing but cause disruption to local people, who are subject to disturbance thanks to the actions of those behind them," she said.
"They are also a serious drain on the resources of the authorities who have to respond. The people behind this incident must be caught and I would urge anyone with information to give it to police immediately."

Elsewhere, a suspicious object discovered on the Lisburn Road in south Belfast was also declared a hoax. The road reopened at around 4.20am on Wednesday, 13 July. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Co Antrim Security Alert Declared A Hoax
A security alert in the County Antrim village of Ballycarry has been declared a hoax. The Island Road was closed in both directions for some time on Thursday 08 August following the discovery of a suspicious object. ATO were tasked to the scene and later confirmed the alert as a hoax.

Three Arrested in L'Derry For Drug Offences
Police in L'Derry have arrested three people and seized drugs worth an estimated £600. The arrests were made following a proactive policing operation in the city. On Monday, 18 November, officers observed suspicious behaviour from a 39-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman in the Strand Road area.

Portadown Suspicious Object Declared A Hoax
A suspicious object at the centre of a Portadown security alert has been declared a hoax. Shortly after 8.45pm on Tuesday, 30 July, police received a report of a suspicious object in the Upper Church Lane area. Emergency service responded and sealed the area, evacuating local residents and closing a number of roads.
