Man Charged Over Attempted Robbery In Co Down
A 33-year-year-old man has been charged with attempted robbery and a firearm charge in Newtownards, Co Down.
The incident happened at a business on East Street on Saturday, 22 July.
The suspect entered the business with what is believed to be a gun and demanded money. He made off on foot.
He is to appear before Downpatrick Magistrates' Court today, 24 July.
All charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

Lawyer considers client's 'overexposure'
The lawyer of a senior north Belfast loyalist has warned that he may report the Chief Constable, Sir Hugh Orde, and an unnamed Sunday newspaper editor to the Attorney General for over exposure of his client. Ihab Shoukri, from Alliance Road, was today remanded on continuing bail charged two counts of being a member of the UDA/UFF.

Economy Minister Conor Murphy has launched the Business Innovation Grant (BIG), a new £4.3 million initiative designed to stimulate innovation and enhance productivity among Northern Irish businesses. The scheme, developed by Invest Northern Ireland and delivered in partnership with Innovate NI, is open to micro-businesses, sole traders, and SMEs.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A 35-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. The victim, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition after being assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. The suspect is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates' Court on Monday, 17 October.

Two Men Charged After Crossbow And Hammers Seized In Co Antrim
Two men have been charged after police seized a crossbow and a number of other items in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim. Police received reports that a large crowd of men, some of which were wearing masks, had gathered in the Castlemara estate on Friday, 01 July. Officers attended the scene and seized a crossbow and hammers.
