Two Orange Halls Attacked
Two Orange Halls have been attacked over the weekend.
A number of paint bombs were thrown at Rosedernott Orange hall, outside Cloughmills, during the early hours of Sunday, 23 July.
A Union flag was also removed, and a flag pole damaged, from inside the grounds of Roden Orange hall in Kilkeel.
A Grand Lodge spokesman said: "These latest attacks, though separate, are yet further examples of the intolerant sectarianism displayed by a minority who continue to manifest their hatred towards the Orange Institution, by attacking our properties on a regular basis.
"Although the nature of the incidents is clearly different – the criminal intent is very much the same by the bigoted and narrow-minded individuals responsible. They have nothing to offer society, only division, and their actions must be universally condemned."
North Antrim Sinn Féin MLA Philip McGuigan said: "Sectarianism is wrong no matter where its source and sectarian attacks like this paint bomb attack on Cloughmills Orange hall need to be condemned by us all.
"Those responsible represent nobody and have nothing positive to offer the local North Antrim community.
"Such attacks have no place in our society and need to stop. I would appeal to anyone with information on this attack to report it to the PSNI."

Two Orange Halls have been attacked in Banbridge, Co Down. Republican graffitti was daubed on the walls of the Tanvally and Corbet Halls during the early hours of Friday morning, 01 July. A total of 12 Orange Halls have been targeted this year. Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Orange Halls Attacked Overnight
Two Orange Order halls have been attacked with paint overnight. Paint bombs were thrown at Clifton Street Orange Hall in north Belfast, near Carlisle Circus where last Thursday's Twelfth of July marchers met and departed from. A hall on Main Street in Glenavy, County Antrim was also vandalised in the early hours of this morning.

Three Halls Attacked By Arsonists In Co Tyrone
Deliberate arson attacks on premises in different parts of Northern Ireland have resulted in one of the premises, a cricket clubhouse, being so badly damaged that it is likely to have to be demolished. Fire crews were called to tackle the fire at Burndennett Cricket Club outside Strabane early on Saturday.

Condemnations Follow GAA Club Attacks
The Orange Order has condemned weekend arson attacks on Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) clubrooms. A statement from the top loyal order today said: "We condemn all attacks on halls in our community without reservation, and we appeal for no retaliation.

Irish Government Grant Aids Orange Order
The Dublin government has announced grants worth €250,000 to help fund the Orange Order in the border counties. A company set up by Orange lodges in Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim and Donegal, Cadolemo Ltd, will receive the money over the next two years.
