New East Belfast Bus Lane Comes Into Operation

A new bus lane on the Albertbridge Road in east Belfast has come into operation this morning, Monday, 14 August.

The new lane operates between Castlereagh Street and the Newtownards Road during peak hours on weekdays – 7.30 to 9.30am and 3.30 to 6.30pm.

The lane, which was preceded by weeks of road works and will form part of the new Belfast Rapid Transit project, which is due to be introduced next year.

Detectives have appealed for information for information following a report of a burglary and hit-and-run road traffic collision in Newry on Sunday morning, 23 June. Police received a report that a white BMW X5 was stolen outside a house in the Dublin Road area of Cloghoge.

Work Begins On Phase Two Of City's New Bus Lanes
Motorists have been warned to expect delays if travelling through Belfast city centre from Monday as a new phase of road works begins. Part of the Belfast On The Move scheme this latest phase is expected to take up to 12 weeks to complete. Work will begin at 19.00 on Monday on Grosvenor Road and College Avenue, with overnight works on both streets.
