Shots Fired At House Where Toddler Was Sleeping In L'Derry
Two shots have been fired at a property where a young child was sleeping upstairs in Co L'Derry.
The attack happened in the Rossdowney Drive area at around 11.30pm on Saturday, 19 August.
The shots were fired through the front window of the house and the PSNI said it is very fortunate they were not "dealing with a death".
They also described it as "an extremely reckless act".
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
Sinn Féin Councillor Christopher Jackson said: "This attack during which shots were fired at a house in Rossdowney Drive is wrong and must be condemned.
"Thankfully no one was injured in this incident but it must have been a frightening experience for those in the area at the time.
"There is no place for guns on the streets of our city and those behind these attacks need to end their war with the community."
