Three Arrested Following Cannabis Seizure In Lisburn
Three people have been arrested after £380,000 worth of cannabis was seized in Lisburn.
A 48-year-old man and two women, aged 29 and 63, were detained after the PSNI stopped two vehicles in the Ferguson Drive area on Tuesday, 22 August.
Detective Inspector Pete Mullan said: "This proactive operation is part of ongoing efforts to disrupt organised criminality and the supply of drugs into Northern Ireland, and keep people safe.
"All three individuals remain in custody this evening assisting us with our enquiries."

At least three people have died in a house fire in Co Fermanagh. Emergency services were called to the blaze in the Molly Road area of Derrylin on Tuesday morning, 27 February. The fire has been extinguished and investigations are ongoing. The public have been advised to avoid the area.

Three People Charged Over £380,000 Cannabis Find
Three people have been charged with a number of drugs offences. A 48-year-old man and two women aged 63 and 29 were detained after police seized cannabis worth around £380,000 in Lisburn on Tuesday, 22 August. The charges also include possession of Class B drugs with intent to supply.

The Northern Ireland Policing Board today outlined three key areas it wants to improve on over the next three years. The Board, which published its aims in its new Corporate Plan for the period 1 April 2005 – 31 March 2008, said it wants to improve on ‘Effectiveness, Efficiency and Public Confidence’.

Heavy Snow Closes Over 80 Schools
Over 80 schools across Northern Ireland have been closed as the heavy snow continues to cause disruption on Tuesday morning. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning, as the snow is continuing to affect many roads. Areas which have been majorly disrupted include Lisburn, Castlereagh and Carryduff.
