Man And Woman Arrested Following £15,000 Heroin Seizure

A man and woman have been arrested in connection with a £15,000 heroin find bound for Belfast.

The pair were detained by the PSNI after officers stopped a car just outside Newry on Wednesday, 23 August.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "This proactive operation is part of ongoing efforts to disrupt the supply of incredibly harmful drugs and substances coming into Belfast, and keep people safe.

"Both people remain in custody this evening assisting us with our enquiries. If anyone has any information which may be of assistance please contact 101 quoting reference 1518 of 23/08/17, or if you wish to remain anonymous Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
