Shots Fired At House In Larne
Three children have escaped injury after shots were fired at a house in Co Antrim.
A car was also rammed into the property in the Brustin Brae Road area of Larne, and set on fire.
The incident happened at around 1.50am on Monday, 11 September.
The incident is being linked to a number of other attacks in the area and it is believed to have been caused by paramilitaries.
Detective Chief Inspector Dunny McCubbin said: "Police received a report at approximately 1:50am that two masked males, armed with suspected shotguns, approached the occupants of a Volkswagon Bora that was parked outside a property. The males threatened the occupants before taking the car.
"At approximately 1:58am, police believe the vehicle was driven to a property in the Brustin Brae Road area of Larne where it was set alight outside a garage. Police also received a report that shots were fired at the property.
"We are appealing for anyone who was in Craigy Hill area or Brustin Brae area at around these times and noticed any suspicious behaviour, or anyone who knows anything about either of these incidents to contact detectives at Larne Criminal Investigation Branch on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 74 11/09/17; 78 11/09/17."
Alliance MLA Stewart Dickson said: "It is extremely worrying to hear this news today and we must be thankful that this incident did not end in a complete tragedy for this young family.
"With on-going tensions in the area, we must do everything we can to ensure local people can feel safe in their own home.
"I would urge anyone with information to contact the PSNI as soon as possible, so that those responsible can be removed from our streets as soon as possible."

Several Shots Fired At House In Co Antrim
Shots have been fired at a property in Craigavon, Co Antrim. The attack happened in the Drumellan Mews area at around 6pm on Tuesday. No-one was injured in the incident. A man on a bike fired several shots at the rear of the property, according to police. He was wearing dark clothing and had a hat over his face.

Detectives in Coleraine have issued an appeal for information following a report of shots fired at a property in the Tullyarton Road area of the town on Sunday, 21st May. Detective Inspector Lavery said: "Shortly after 11:30pm, it was reported that a number of shots were fired at a first floor flat in the area.

Two Shots Fired At House In Lurgan
Two shots have been fired at a house while three people, including two children, were sleeping upstairs. The incident happened at a property in the Shimna Walk area in Lurgan on Saturday, 02 September, at around 10.30pm. No-one was hurt, however a man was seen running away from the scene.
