The PSNI have issued a warning to Freshers as they celebrate their first week at university over one punch deaths.

25 people have died as a result of one punch attacks and many more have been seriously injured since 2004, according to the police.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "The majority of these incidents are alcohol fuelled and can have a devastating impact on the victim and their family.

"During this freshers period we hope you enjoy your night but please remember that One Punch Can Kill."
