Business Leaders Energised Over WeAre2023
NI business leaders have joined representatives from Belfast City and Derry City and Strabane District Councils for an Arts & Business breakfast event at The MAC today, Friday, 29 September to learn about the WeAre2023 bid for European Capital of Culture.
Business champion John Healy, MD, Allstate and Ryan Williams of Ally Consulting outlined the exciting opportunity it provides to not only promote and showcase the cultural and creative aspects of both cities and region, but also to deliver many wider benefits - supporting investment and job creation, boosting tourism and raising the international profile of Northern Ireland plc.
Broadcaster Dr Wendy Austin MBE was then joined by Kwa Daniels, Chief Executive of Bounce Culture (and one of the bid's cultural champions) for an engaging discussion on the cultural and societal benefits of the bid.
