Investigation Launched Following Arson Attack In West Belfast

Police have launched an investigation following an arson attack on a house in west Belfast.

The incident happened at a property in the St Galls Avenue area on Tuesday, 03 October.

A canister with flammable material was set on fire at the door of the property.

Emergency services attended the scene and put out the blaze.

The PSNI are treating the incident as arson and are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Investigation Launched Following Arson Attack On Baptist Church
Police have launched an investigation following an arson attack on a Baptist Church in Co Down. Tyres were put up against the side of the building on the Loughbrickland Road in Rathfriland and set alight between 11pm and 11.30pm on Wednesday, 18 May. Damaged was caused to the side of the church and windows.

A convent in West Belfast has been targeted in a suspected arson attack over the weekend. The Convent of Mercy in the Beechmount area suffered damage to the kitchen and the roof during the incident, which happened at around 9.50pm Friday.

A woman has had to be treated in hospital after a suspected arson attack in Co L'Derry. The incident happened at a property in the Lower Bennett Street area just after 7am on Wednesday, 16 August. The woman, who was the only occupant in the house, was treated for smoke inhalation.
