Paramedic Attacked In Co Tyrone

A 20-year-old woman has been charged after a female paramedic was attacked twice during a callout in Co Tyrone.

She was punched and bitten by a patient in the Fairview Gardens area of Dromore on Tuesday, 10 October.

The paramedic tried to get away from the scene however she was assaulted a second time and sustained a head injury.

The suspect is expected to appear in court in November.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) condemned the incident.

A paramedic has been attacked by a patient in Co Antrim. The incident happened at the back of an ambulance on the Ballybogey Road at around 3.30am on Sunday, 03 July. The patient, who had sustained a head injury, lashed out and pulled equipment and dressings from their storage points.

Police Officer Attacked During Arrest In Co Tyrone
The PSNI have condemned attacks on emergency personnel after a police officer was attacked and injured while making an arrest in Co Tyrone. An officer sustained facial injuries when he was attacked as he and a colleague arrested a man suspected of assault in an incident at Corick Road, Clogher, shortly before 01:00am on Thursday.

Orange Hall Attacked In Co Tyrone
Minor damage has been caused to an Orange Hall following an attack in Co Tyrone. The incident happened at the Glenageeragh Orange Hall in Augher on Saturday, 24 March. The remains of what is believed to be a petrol bomb were discovered inside the building. The PSNI are treating the attack as a hate crime.

Farmer Dies After Being Attacked By Bull In Co Tyrone
A farmer has died after being attacked by a bull in Co Tyrone. The incident happened in the Aughnacloy area on Saturday. A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police attended and after consultation with the vet and members of the family police shot the bull as it posed a risk. "The office of the Police Ombudsman has been informed of the incident.
