Man Arrested Over Shooting Attack In North Belfast

A 51-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a paramilitary-style shooting attack in north Belfast.

The 30-year-old victim was shot in both legs in the Ardoyne area on Monday, 02 October.

He was left with potentially life changing injuries and police described the attack as "brutal".

The suspect was detained following a planned search in the Lagmore Meadows area of Belfast.

PSNI Appeal For Information About West Belfast Shooting
The PSNI have appeal for witnesses to or any one with any information about a shooting incident in west Belfast on Wednesday night. A man was shot in the leg at Creeslough Gardens at around 21:30 on Wednesday night. It is understood that victim is in his 40s and his injuries are not life threatening.

Man Shot In Both Legs In L'Derry
A man in his 30s has been shot several times in the legs in Co L'Derry. The shooting attack happened in the Rinmore Drive area at around 10.30pm on Tuesday, 09 August. The victim was shot in each ankle and once in the thigh. He is currently being treated in hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Man Injured In North Belfast Shooting Attack
A man has been shot several times in north Belfast. The attack happened in an alleyway just off the Antrim Road at around 1am on Monday. The victim, aged in his 20s, is in a stable condition in hospital. Sinn Féin MLA Carál Ní Chuilín said: "I condemn the vicious shooting of this young man early this morning. This was a very serious incident.

Man Arrested Over Shooting Attack In North Belfast Released Unconditionally
A man arrested in connection with a paramilitary-style shooting in north Belfast has been released unconditionally. A 30-year-old man was shot in both legs in the Velsheda Court area of Ardoyne on Monday, 02 October. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. A 51-year-old was detained after a search, however he has since been released.
