Lisburn Firm Scoops Deal In Australia
A medical devices firm in Lisburn has scooped a deal in Australia estimated to be worth around £1million.
Cirdan develops software and hardware products that help to enhance and speed up the diagnostic process
Chief Executive of Invest Northern Ireland, Alastair Hamilton, said: "Cirdan is an ambitious Northern Ireland business who has benefited from a range of Invest NI support, for Research & Development, recruitment and trade activities, to strengthen the future of its business.
"Northern Health is one of the busiest health services in Victoria and a key provider of public healthcare in Melbourne’s northern region. “I am delighted it has chosen Cirdan to provide a solution which will support it to improve efficiency and streamline its laboratory operations."
Dave Crockett, Head of Global Sales at Cirdan said: "We have worked hard to develop ULTRA into the world-class LIS that it is today. Persistence has been key to developing sales in this market and winning this contract with Northern Health is the culmination of months of hard work. We realise that lasting relationships are developed through face to face contact and that is why we place such importance in having a local presence. Having an office in Australia works well for us and our customers."

Good news for Northern Ireland businesses was the placing of local firm BizNet Solutions in third position in the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 Award rankings. Biznet Solutions, an internet solutions provider, develops websites and ebusiness solutions, had an aggregate revenue growth of 923 per cent.

A London-based digital technology firm is to invest in Northern Ireland for the first time with a 16-strong digital team. Smartzer, a firm that develops video-tagging technology to create an interactive online shopping experience, will establish a Belfast operation to develop and launch a new Software as a Service (SaaS) product.

Enviro Group Develops Franchise Model In GB
Enviro Group based in Warrenpoint has successfully developed a franchise model in Great Britain for its kitchen duct cleaning services. The company now aims to roll out a similar strategy in the Republic of Ireland in the coming weeks. Invest Northern Ireland offered the company over £45,000 towards this investment.
