Half Of Most Deprived Areas In NI Are In Belfast
Half of Northern Ireland's most deprived areas are in Belfast, it has been revealed.
The Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) published a report which showed the most relatively deprived area was Strabane East and the least deprived was the Belmont area in east Belfast.
The data included splitting NI into 890 areas.
Of the most 100 deprived areas, 50 are in the Belfast City Council area and 20 are in the Derry and Strabane Council area.
Lisburn and Castlereagh was the only council that had no areas among the 100 most deprived.

Minister condemns vandalism of £3m housing scheme
Minister for Social Development, Nigel Dodds has condemned the vandalism of a £3.3 million housing scheme in east Belfast. Mr Dodds said: "It is deplorable that the completion of new homes for families in East Belfast has been delayed by a series of attacks by vandals".
