Warning Issued To NI Businesses Over Potential Scam Email
The PSNI have issued a warning to businesses over a potential phishing email scam being distributed across NI.
The subject of the email may be 'Payment Plan/Inv' and recipients may see an attachment titled 'Payment_Secure_Doc.pdf'.
A spokesperson from the PSNI said: "When in doubt or if you receive unsolicited emails, do not open the email or click on the attachment. Remember emails can come from people within your contact list who have already fallen victim to this campaign.
"Ensure system patches are applied and anti-virus applications are kept up to date."

A vigilant business owner from Lisburn has narrowly escaped losing £45,000 in an email scam. Police told of how the company had been invoiced for that exact amount from another legitimate firm when the fraudsters stepped in.
