Yellow Warning For Snow And Ice Issued In NI Over The Weekend
A yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been issued across Northern Ireland over the weekend.
The warning comes into effect on midnight on Friday, 08 December, until 6pm on Saturday, 09 December.
Between 2cm to 5cm of snow is expected in some areas and icy surfaces are also likely to be an additional hazard.
Motorists are being urged to take care on the roads.
A Met Office spokesperson said: "On Friday and Saturday, the snow showers could lead to snow accumulations which vary markedly across the warning area."

SF Calls For Action On NI Mental Health Services
Sinn Féin has called for more to be done to improve mental health services across the north of Ireland. The party's mental health spokesperson, MLA Órlaithí Flynn, made the call after the release of the Registrar General's 2023 Annual Report which has highlighted an increase in deaths by suicide in 2023.
