Winterland Market To Showcase Best Of L'Derry's Craft And Artisan Offerings
This year's Winterland Market will showcase the best of L'Derry's craft and artisan offering to locals and visitors alike at Guildhall Square next week from Thursday 14 to Sunday 17 December.
The Winterland Market is a great opportunity to showcase what Derry has to offer in terms of fantastic festive shopping, family entertainment and famous hospitality. It is aimed at showcasing the best of local and visiting craft trade and giving locals and visitors the chance to pick up some unique gift ideas and sample the city’s thriving ‘craft beer’ scene.
Hailed as the ultimate traditional Derry Christmas experience, the Market will feature up to 30 traders from a wide range of craft and food sectors offering a wide range of Christmas gifts and foods. The market is the perfect opportunity to get into the festive spirit and help with prepping your Christmas shopping and cooking for that special day.
A key attraction for the kids this year will be the presence of ‘Bjorn the Bear’ – a life-sized majestic polar creature that blinks, sniffs and makes real sounds all within a sculpted inflatable ice environment to help him feel at home. His show is based on real science and is an amazing addition to our market programme that is bound to get the children into the festive cheer... He will make a series of special appearances at the Market on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 December at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm.

Walled City Brewery To Develop New Craft Beer
Walled City Brewery, located in L'Derry's new cultural quarter Ebrington Square, has been assisted by Invest Northern Ireland to develop a new craft beer. Master Brewer, James Huey used an Invest NI £5,000 Innovation Voucher to develop the recipe for its '1689' Mumm ale, which comes from a recipe dating back to the Siege of Derry.

Market in the Square is returning to Antrim on Saturday 17 and sunday 18 June. Antrim will be buzzing with a traditional food and craft market atmosphere. On Saturday the market will be open for business between 11am and 10pm and on Sunday between 11am and 6pm.
