BCC Propose Gaelic Facilities At Stranmillis

Belfast City Council has proposed to provide temporary facilities for playing Gaelic at Stranmillis Embankment.

It is proposed that posts will be erected on land at the bottom of Botanic Gardens, adjacent to the Embankment, to allow for the playing of junior games for a temporary period until the end of September. The move is to compensate for the loss of facilities during work being undertaken at Cherryvale Playing Fields.

A drop-in information session will be held at St Bartholomew's Church of Ireland, on the Stranmillis Road, from 4pm – 7.30pm on Tuesday, 09 January to allow local residents to share any views on the proposal.
