Man Seriously Injured In West Belfast Shooting Attack
A 24-year-old man has sustained serious and potentially life-changing injuries after being shot in both knees and ankles in west Belfast.
The attack happened at a property in the Whiterock Drive area at around 7.10pm on Friday, 19 January.
A number of men wearing dark clothing entered the house and hit the man over the head with a hammer before shooting him a number of times.
He is currently being treated in hospital.
A 17-year-old girl and 21-year-old woman were also in the house at the time. They were both left badly shaken.
Sinn Féin MP Paul Maskey said: "I condemn this latest shooting.
"These actions should stop immediately.
"Anyone with information about this attack should bring it forward to the police."

A man in his 30s has been shot several times in the legs in Co L'Derry. The shooting attack happened in the Rinmore Drive area at around 10.30pm on Tuesday, 09 August. The victim was shot in each ankle and once in the thigh. He is currently being treated in hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Man injured in Donaghcloney shooting
Police in Lurgan are appealing for information after a man was shot several times at his home in Donaghcloney. The man, who is in his 30's, was shot a number of times after he was called to the front door of his Clover Brae house by his partner. The victim managed to make his way to a neighbour's house to seek help.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A man, aged in his 60s, has been injured after he was shot a number of times through the window of a house in Co Down. The attack occurred at a property in the Tullymore Road area in Banbridge, shortly after 10pm on Thursday, 09 February. The victim is being treated in hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
