Woman Rescued From Window Ledge During House Fire In Co Down
A woman has been rescued from the window ledge of her bedroom following a fire at her house in Bangor, Co Down.
Fire crews were called to the scene in Dufferin Avenue at around 9.20am on Wednesday, 31 January.
A spokesperson from the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) said: "Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued a woman from a window ledge of a third floor bedroom using a ladder. She was treated at the scene by firefighters using a micro-vent before the arrival of ambulance personnel and she was taken to hospital.
"A man was out of the property before the arrival of firefighters. He, along with a woman from the adjoining property, was also treated by firefighters for smoke inhalation before the arrival of ambulance personnel."

Three Rescued From Fire At Armagh Flats
Three people have been rescued from a fire at a block of flats at English Street in County Armagh. The blaze started in the early hours of Sunday morning and the fire service have described the fire as suspicious. Firefighters found a bin on fire at the foot of a staircase leading to two flats where a woman and two men were trapped.

19-year-old woman rescued from Newry fire
Firefighters have rescued a 19-year-old woman from a fire at a ground floor flat in Newry, County Down. A number of people, who were on the ground floor of the building at Cleary Crescent at the time of the blaze, had escaped but firefighters wearing breathing apparatus had to rescue the woman.

An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

Antrim Fire Station Officially Re-Opens
Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service's Antrim Fire Station has officially re-opened following a £2.2 million refurbishment. Work began in March of last year to update the Castle Street site, which was originally built in 1953, to transform the building into a modern day fire station enhancing firefighter and public safety.

Newly-Refurbished Larne Fire Station Officially Re-Opens
The newly-refurbished Larne Fire Station has been officially re-opened by Health Minister Robin Swann. The station, in Agnew Street, was built in 1959 and has undergone a capital investment of £1.25million. During his visit, the Minister toured the building and met some of the 22 On-Call Firefighters based at the station.
