US Software Firm To Create 55 New Jobs In Belfast
A US software firm has announced it is to create 55 new jobs in Belfast.
Chef Software Inc has also announced plans to establish a new software development centre in Belfast.
Chef is one of the founders of the Development and Operations (DevOps) movement, and has over 1,000 customers spread across many industries such as Facebook, Nordstrom, Target, IBM and SAP.
Gary Hanley, Invest Northern Ireland US Senior VP for North America, said: "The new software development centre in Belfast will help Chef grow its business in EMEA and Asia PAC and will provide support to those customers.
"As well as creating 55 new jobs and generating over £2.3million in salaries into the economy each year, this centre will also add to the skills base in Northern Ireland and enhance the region’s technology capability.
"The fast paced nature of DevOps will mean that those working for the company will have the opportunity to help develop new innovation software solutions, get exposure to new technology and develop new skills."
The company plans to create the new jobs by 2020. Invest NI has offered £357,500 towards the creation of the new jobs.

A US software engineering firm has set up a new office in Belfast. iManage will also create 18 new jobs and the roles include product architects, senior developers, junior developers and support engineers. Ten of the jobs are already in place, with the remaining to be filled during the next quarter.
