100 New IT Jobs Announced For Dublin
Leading Irish IT Professional Services and Consulting company, Ammeon, has announced the creation of 100 new high-skilled jobs with an expansion of its Software Engineering & Consulting Divisions.
The announcement was made today, 22 February, by the Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys T.D., together with Fred Jones, Chief Executive Officer of Ammeon and Niall O'Donnellan, Manager, ICT and International Services, Enterprise Ireland who are supporting the development.
Minister Humphrey's said: "It is a great pleasure to join the Ammeon team this morning for the announcement of 100 new jobs and the start of a new chapter in the Ammeon story. Remaining flexible, innovating and making the most of emerging technologies strengthens businesses' ability to thrive in a dynamic international market environment. I would like to congratulate the team here on progressively evolving and responding to market opportunities, which has paved the way to this significant jobs announcement today."
Fred Jones, CEO, Ammeon, added: "Here at Ammeon, we have built the largest indigenous team of professional service consultants focused on accelerating IT delivery and innovation. In this rapidly changing landscape, IT acceleration is the road to survival and companies need a strategy to arrive at a future where they are relevant and still in business. Ammeon employs over 165 people, with the majority based in the company's Dublin city centre headquarters and a smaller number in its UK and European offices.
Founded in 2003, the company has been growing rapidly in recent years, with new offices opening in Belfast, London, Belgrade, and Stockholm. Clients include financial institutions, telecommunication providers, automotive, transportation, government organisations as well as the European space agency.
Ammeon has been supported by the Irish Government through Enterprise Ireland.

125 New Jobs Announced With Bausch + Lomb Expansion
125 jobs are to be created in Waterford as part a €75m expansion by Bausch + Lomb. The expansion plan was the result of negotiations last year, when Bausch + Lomb's parent company, Valiant, announced that there would be 200 redundancies and a 20% cut in pay at the factory.
