Pope Francis To Visit Ireland
Pope Francis is to visit Ireland in August.
It will be his first papal trip to the country in almost 40 years.
The pontiff will travel to Dublin to attend the World Meeting of Families.
Pope John Paul was the last pontiff to visit Ireland in 1979.
In a statement the Catholic Bishops Conference said: "We are deeply honoured that Pope Francis will come to our country to participate in this universal church celebration of faith and joy, as well as of the contemporary challenges which face families.
"With great anticipation we also look forward to hearing the apostolic guidance of His Holiness during his stay with us."

Pope Francis Will Not Visit NI In August
Pope Francis will not be travelling to Northern Ireland in August. The announcement was made by the Vatican who outlined his itinerary on 25 and 26 August. He will visit a homeless day centre and he will also attend the Festival of Families at Croke Park in Dublin. This will be the first papal visit to Ireland in almost 40 years.

Presbyterian Church Leader To Attend State Reception For Pope
The head of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, Reverend Charles McMullen, is to attend the State reception for Pope Francis in Dublin Castle next week. The Presbyterian Moderator has accepted an invitation from the Irish Government to attend the event on Saturday, 25 August.
