Man Attempts To Lure Child Into Van In West Belfast
Police are appealing for information after a man attempted to lure a child into a van in west Belfast.
The incident happened in the Bell Steele Road/Woodside area on at around 8.30pm on Sunday, 25 March.
The occupant of the van told the child he had sweets, however the child "had the sense to run" according to the police.
The van is believed to be dark blue and may have had an English registration.
The vehicle drove off in the direction of the Stewartstown Road.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Police have launched an investigation following a "possible child approach" in the Donaghcloney area in Banbridge on Tuesday, 16 August. The incident happened on Main Street at around 9.20pm. Three men in a white van approached a 10-year-old boy and offered him sweets.

More Work Needed To Tackle Child Poverty
According to recent research more needs to be done to get children in Northern Ireland out of Poverty, with the British Government being blamed for the elimination target slipping. The charity Barnardos has revealed that two areas in Northern Ireland have two of the highest rates of child poverty in the UK.

Two Men Arrested Over Historical Child Sexual Abuse
Detectives have arrested two men as part of an investigation into allegations of serious historical child sexual abuse. Officers from the PSNI's Public Prosecution branch arrested the two suspects, aged 60 and 67, on Thursday, 08 March. The men were detained in Newtownards and Ardglass. They are being questioned at Antrim Police station.

Post Office Van Driver Hijacked In West Belfast
A post office van driver has been hijacked and threatened with a knife in west Belfast. The vehicle was stolen in Ross Road on Tuesday which was later found abandoned in the Valleyside Close area. A security alert was launched and the part of the Springfield Road was closed on Wednesday, however it has since been re-opened.
