Police Appeal For Information Following Multiple Incidents Of Vandalism In West Belfast
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a number of incidents of vandalism at the Colin Town Centre Transport Hub in west Belfast.
According to reports, the cab of a high-rise crane has been burnt out in the latest incident of anti-social behaviour at the site, where the Department of Infrastructure is building a new Transport Hub as part of the Belfast Rapid Transport scheme.
Police have received a number of reports of criminal damage in the Stewartstown Road area, with incidents involving up to 40 youths.
Parents in the area have been urged to make their children aware of the dangers involved in the behaviour and that they face arrest and a potential criminal record.
The public have been urged to contact police with any information about the incident, or other incidents of anti-social behaviour, on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1556 of 6/5/18. They added that people can ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Last year nearly 30,000 domestic motivated incidents took place in Northern Ireland, with around five people each year killed by a partner, ex-partner or close family member, according to the Department of Justice (DoJ). The figures were revealed by the department at the launch of a new consultation on Domestic Homicide Reviews.
