NIFRS Reports 'Exceptionally Busy' Bonfire Night
The Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) said they had an "exceptionally busy" night on Thursday, 11 July.
They received a total of 327 emergency calls within a seven-hour period on bonfire night.
Fire crews respond to 164 incidents, a rise of 23 per cent compared to the same period last year.
The NIFRS responded to 57 bonfire related incidents.
Firefighters also came under attack in L'Derry, Dungannon and Whitehead. No-one was injured, however damage was caused to an appliance.

11th Night Bonfire Night Alert
As the traditional '11th Night' Bonfires loom, there has been a call for 'Safety First'. A senior fire officer at the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) is this week urging people to 'Think Safety First' when building bonfires, and has also underlined a recent reminder not to burn tyres.

Police Appeal After Arson Attack In Newtownards
Detectives have renewed an appeal for information following a deliberate arson attack at a vacant property in the Weaver's Grange area of Newtownards. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 17 November, 2023. Police and firefighters were called to the scene at around 12:40am.

Arson Attack On 5G Mast In West Belfast
Detectives in Belfast are investigating a suspected arson attack on a 5G mast in the Andersonstown Road area. The incident occurred around 9.55pm on Wednesday, November 13th. Detective Sergeant Faulkner confirmed that officers attended the scene alongside the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, who successfully extinguished the blaze.
