Fire Crews Tackle Gorse Fire Near Newcastle
A gorse fire which has spread over five hectares has broken out near Newcastle, Co Down.
The Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) said the blaze on the Drinnahilly Mountain close to Tollymore Forest park, started on Wednesday, 18 July.
Eight fire appliances and 46 firefighters are working to bring the fire under control.
Specialist wildfire officers are also at the scene.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE
THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.
